Description

One session remaining: 17 November.

An online gathering of arts and creativity-focused research degree candidates and early career researchers, moderated by Sue Orlovich (PhD Candidate, University of Sydney). In each session, an expert in arts and creativity research leads discussion on a topic related to methodologies and praxis across the full range of related disciplines.

Each one-hour session will include a presentation, a Q&A, and a Pecha Kucha.

Set aside just an hour roughly every fortnight to join a virtual circle of fellow creativity researchers, to hear from experts and experienced colleagues about subjects that will help you in your work.

Creativity Research, Engaging the Arts and Transforming Education, Health and Wellbeing We explore the relationship between learning and creativity and the transformative role of the arts in education. Our researchers come from Education, Performance Studies, Medicine and Health, Literature, and the Visual Arts. We engage in three main areas: creativity research; the role of the arts in creative education; and how the arts transform all levels of education from early childhood through to higher education. We acknowledge the central, intrinsic role creative pedagogy and the arts can and should play in the lives, learning and formal education of all people. The centre builds on previous work in both the Arts, English and Literacy Education Network and the Arts and Creative Education Research Network.
