    Event description

Welcome to our monthly online gathering of arts and creativity-focused postgraduates and early career researchers, moderated by Sue Orlovich (PhD Candidate, University of Sydney).

At each session, a guest who is an expert in some facet of Arts and Creativity research leads the meeting, sharing their knowledge of a particular aspect of arts-informed inquiry, and the secrets of their approach. After their presentation, we encourage attendees to ask the presenter questions, and participate in discussion.

Our scheduled presenters (always Thursdays at 4:30pm for 1 hour) include:

    • Professor Liz Mackinlay on DRAW: Departing Radically in Academic Writing (18 May)
    • Dr Katrina Kemp on Pedagogy, Creativity and Writing (22 June)
    • Kate Halcrow on An acoustic turn for the creative writing classroom? Bringing music, speech and sound to the world of the text (28 September)
    • Thomas de Angelis on Finding Space for our Stories: The Regrowth Project and applied site- specific theatre (19 October)
    • Additional sessions on 20 July and 24 August will be updated when the speakers are confirmed.
