Create your Impact Model - Workshop
Event description
Will your products, services or activities actually create the positive change you want to see in the world? Learn how to communicate your impact by creating an impact model for your business or social enterprise.
This is a hands on working bee style workshop, using the 'theory of change' methodology. Kareena, Penny and Laura from Ākina will guide you through the theory, and help you develop your Impact Model.
What will this workshop give you?
- A draft of what your Impact Model could look like, and
- the tools to continue to iterate and develop it over time.
What can you use your Impact Model for?
- Clearly demonstrate your impact to your board, staff and other stakeholders
- Apply for funding
- Visually communicate your impact in presentations
- Clearly tell your story to customers
What is an impact model?
An Impact Model clearly and visually shows the impact or positive outcomes you are working towards. It demonstrates how your impact will be created by your product or service. For a social enterprise, having an impact model is just as important as the business model.
Is this the right workshop for you?
If you have attended our Intro to Impact workshop recently, this workshop is the natural follow up. If you haven't attended Intro to Impact, you can still attend – we will send you some material to look through in advance.
To ensure you’re creating a robust model we suggest that at least two members of your team come along to work on your Impact Model together.
This workshop is best suited to early-stage social enterprises that are about to start trading or have been trading for a short while. If you are a larger organisation – or you are not sure if you should attend – get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise if this event is right for you.
