    Event description

The majority of us in Australia live according to "THE" calendar (the linear one) where seasons go - summer > autumn > winter > spring.

BUT, as we wake up to the need for reconciliation and nature connection - we realise these inherited time markers aren't working very well for us.

Celebrating Easter in our autumn feels awkward. Making resolutions in summer isn't the right time. We are learning that in some parts of the country there are 3, 5 or even 6 seasons - according to the intimate knowledge that indigenous people have with land.

So - what to do ?

This course helps you blend all of the differing frameworks together. At the end you will have a gorgeous, personal, perpetual calendar of what is going on in your biome around you......

    What is flowering or fruiting?

What birds appear when - to nest or feed ?

When do the rains come? From what direction?

What foraged food appears and where?

    1) Workbook

You will be supplied with a workbook to start to answer questions about your land, your behaviours, seasonal species and markers. You'll be provided with a special template to start your own very personal artwork, YOUR own seasonal calendar of observations from all around your neighbourhood.

    2) Workshop

We will host a workshop to teach you how to make your own personal, indigenous and traditional European perpetual calendar with nature markers.

    3) Seasonal calls

You will be able to check-in seasonally on a group call each quarter (solstices and equinoxes).

Approximately 5 hours learning time spread out over a year. Go at your own pace - this course is "slow ecology".

    All for just $39.
