Course Description:
In the face of emergencies and disasters, timely and accurate information is crucial for effective response and recovery. This online learning session is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to write comprehensive situation reports (SitReps) that provide clear, concise, and actionable information to stakeholders.
Target Audience:
This course is ideal for LDCC Reserve.
Course Aim:
The aim of this course is to enable participants to develop the ability to produce high-quality situation reports that support decision-making processes during emergency and disaster events.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the purpose and importance of SitRep
- Gather and analyse relevant information
- Collect accurate and up-to-date information from various sources
- Analyse data to determine the current status and potential developments of the emergency or disaster.
- Structure and format SitReps
- Communicate effectively - write clear, concise, and objective reports
- Review and revise SitReps
- Critically evaluate the quality and accuracy of reports.
Assumed Knowledge/Prerequisites:
- QDMA (not mandatory)
- Guardian IMS User (not mandatory)
