Creating Art With Paper
Event description
Spend the day with exhibiting artist Lee Bethel, learning a variety of techniques including cutting, folding and piercing to create your own unique paper works. For Lee Bethel, elegant constraint is the foundation of her work, in her hands paper reveals its capacity for resilience and malleability.
· The workshop will begin with Lee taking participants through her exhibition A Way with Words to discuss her work.
· Students will then spend time planning and discussing their own works under the guidance of Lee.
· Lee will demonstrate a variety of techniques that can be used in the process of creating the artworks.
· After a lunch break participants will spend the rest of the workshop bringing their creations to life.
