Presenters 

Jodie Wainwright, CEO Milk Crate Theatre

Jodie is a seasoned arts management professional with a proven track record in cultivating purpose-driven organizations. She is a passionate believer in the transformative power of stories and their ability to bring communities together, bridge divides, and most importantly, resonate with audiences to drive positive change. In addition to her position on the Brand X board, she is currently the CEO of Milk Crate Theatre, a leading Australian arts organisation working at the intersection of arts, homelessness, mental health, and disability. Before joining Milk Crate Theatre, Jodie's career encompassed diverse roles in marketing, development, and leadership for organisations including the Cancer Council, Sydney Opera House, and the Red Cross. Jodie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, and she has continued to advance her career in the social impact arena. She was recognized as a Fellow in the prestigious Social Impact Hub 2023 Fellowship. Furthermore, she was recently honoured with the Business NSW regional prize for Outstanding Community Leadership in the Sydney Metropolitan area.

Jessica Pantano, Impact Manager Milk Crate Theatre

With nearly 15 years in the arts across Australia and internationally, Jess works at the intersection of arts, impact, producing, and evaluation management. She has produced standout works at Griffin Theatre, Belvoir St Theatre, The Old Fitz, NYC Fringe, and Adelaide Fringe. In 2020, she co-founded Akimbo and Co., driving bold new projects. In 2016, she worked with Bond St Theatre, using arts for conflict resolution, later supporting communities through Barang Regional Alliance, Neami National, and HopeSt. Now, she’s also an Impact Consultant at Confit Pathways.
