Creating inclusive and accessible cooking classes
Event description
Join this interactive workshop with Dr Sunni Patel to learn how to create cooking classes which are inclusive and accessible. This workshop is for any organisation or community group who runs, or wishes to begin, cooking classes in their local area to support families and residents develop skills and confidence in their cooking ability. The workshop will consist of some insights into previous projects, and some small group work and discussion.
This workshop is part of Support Staffordshire's Food Networks project, which is exploring opportunities to develop a food network in Cannock Chase. This project is funded by Better Health Staffordshire (Staffordshire County Council).
Dr Sunni, PhD is a multi award winning lifestyle medicine and health coach supporting individuals with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development. He is often called as an expert for BBC Radio, The Express, and other media outlets and has been seen on CBBC Newsround, Ready Steady Cook and ITV News. He supports in curating local community wellbeing events including catering, cooking and nutrition that has involved working with children, young parents and those with particular learning considerations.
