Event description

Come along for fun and creative conversations to dream up a future Gold Coast full of possibilities!

Together with members of the Gold Coast Climate Action Network we’ll take a micro tour through a wide variety of ideas and positive local solutions in a climate changing world.

Using props and uplifting conversations, we’ll build visions for a more connected and resilient community, cheap clean energy for all, active transport, a nature-loving Goldie protected from heat and hazards, and more.

Come and join this relaxed mini-workshop for a fresh vision, and fun conversations!

Numbers are strictly limited at each workshop and bookings have to be made so make sure you get in early and pre-book below.

These workshops are located inside the Botanical Bazaar festival. Remember – you must also purchase a Botanical Bazaar festival entry ticket to attend these workshops.

Who are the Gold Coast Climate Action Network?

Our Gold Coast Climate Action Network is a volunteer led network of community groups and leaders. We welcome you to come chat with us in the climate action corner of Botanical Bazaar for a showcase of positive ideas and local action. Learn about the various welcoming groups on the Gold Coast and how we all contribute to climate action and solutions. Find out where you could make a difference for our communities and nature, in ways that suit you!

The Gold Coast Climate Action Network comprises more than 50 organisations whose representatives meet to share knowledge and opportunities to support the Gold Coast to decarbonise, shift to a circular economy, and adapt in a climate changing world. Groups in the network are most notably involved in community education and awareness building on a wide range of issues relating to climate change, regenerative approaches, food security, nature-based solutions, resilience, adaptation, and sustainability.
