Inviting all writers wishing to create queer characters respectfully.

Are you looking to include LGBTQIA+ representation in your work but not sure where to start? Ready to gain an understanding of the queer experience and ensure authenticity in your writing?

In this online workshop, you will:

• Learn practical tools to create authentic queer characters for all genres

• Discuss tropes and stereotypes to avoid in order to build richer character journeys

• Explore excerpts from a range contemporary queer writers

• Approach representation with confidence.

About the Facilitator:

Orlando Silver (he/they) is a playwright and fiction writer living and working on Dharug & Gundungurra countries. He is the Director of Incision Press, and the author of the play Soft Daddy. Orlando is the co-editor of Take it Outside, and the editor of I Write the Body. Orlando has published numerous short stories and poems, including in Island Magazine and the Pearl Prize anthology, and can be found at orlandosilver.substack.com
