Creating thriving, active places

Join us for an interactive and practical session to learn more about placemaking, including:

• Why placemaking is so relevant and important for local governments
• Turning problems into opportunities
• Reducing risks and saving money
• Looking at buildings and public spaces through different eyes
• How it's a team sport - all local government staff can make contributions (big or small)
• Funding and grant opportunities, including the Streets Alive grants

The first 30 minutes (approximately) will explain some of the key ideas and important tips, then we'll get outside to talk about how to put the ideas into action. Please bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and some water.
