Explore the potential of creativity to empower climate with a FREE day of activities. Come to one session or all.

11-12:30, Chrissie Parrott, (internationally esteemed choreographer) will lead a FREE creative movement session. This is an open-invite event, where everyone, of any aged, from any town, is welcome. You don't need to consider yourself a dancer, you just need to come with a curious mind and a willingness to enjoy moving your body to music. We'll begin with some gentle stretches, then easy to follow dance moves and a final cool down.
Please bring some food to share for lunch between the dance session and the film.

From 1-2:30 join our FREE screening of 'Creative Actions for Climate Hope', a documentary by Josephine Jay and Gneiss Design about 'The Stars Descend' project. 'The Stars Descend' was a large-scale community dance project in 2023 created by Annette Carmichael Projects in partnership with Gondwana Link. Five communities created a chapter for the overall suite of performances: Margaret River, Northcliffe, Porongorup, Ravensthorpe and Kalgoorlie.

From 2:30-3pm engage in a discussion, led by Annette Carmichael, Director of The Stars Descend, about how art can support, empower and transform communities as they navigate climate change.
3pm a light afternoon tea will be provided
