Creative Clinic: Digital Animation with Laverne Moi
Event description
Learn how to create a digital animation character with Laverne Moi!
Please note, this course includes four sessions run weekly in October. Course registration includes all 4 sessions:
Session 1: Friday 3 October, 10am to 12pm
Session 2: Friday 10 October, 10am to 12pm
Session 3: Friday 17 October, 10am to 12pm
Session 4: Friday 24 October, 10am to 12pm
Over a series of four workshops, you'll learn how to create your own character from a single hand-drawn illustration to a fully expressive model that can express a wide range of emotions.
You'll learn how to draw your character digitally, set up its body movement and facial features in Live 2D, animate it expressing emotions, and finally have it follow your body movements using Vtube Studio.
You only need to bring your own tablet (laptop + drawing tablet), any drawing software/app you already have experience with installed, a free premium trial of Live2D Cubism installed, and a Vtube Studio installed.
Although we can provide spare laptops and drawing tablets with the Krita and Live2D cubism already installed, it is encouraged you bring your own devices so you'll be able to continue working on your character between workshops.
Tickets for the four week course are $20 for City of Belmont residents, and $30 for Non-City of Belmont residents. Suitable for participants aged 15 years and over. Book your ticket via Humanitix or contact the City.
