Event description

This workshop presents drawing as an efficient and powerful tool for exploring ideas and developing a distinct and intuitive visual language. Participants will learn fundamental drawing skills and build confidence by taking risks and developing inventive strategies for making work. 

For ages 15 years and older.

Tickets are $10 for City of Belmont residents (Ascot, Belmont, Cloverdale, Kewdale, Redcliffe and Rivervale) and $15 for non-residents.

About the Facilitator

Andy Quilty is an artist, independent arts worker and Lecturer in Fine Arts at the University of Western Australia. He works across the state facilitating creative development workshops in schools, Aboriginal art centres, community organisations, non-profits and prisons. His practice identifies a creative visual language located in outer suburbia incorporating material and psychological expressions, markings and gestures, positioned as inventive expressions of outer suburban experience. andyquilty.net
