Event description

Do you have trouble talking and writing about your artwork? Do you ever feel stuck when trying to write those descriptions for applications? Do you ever look at your artwork and don’t know how to describe it clearly? Are your descriptions long essays that people have to spend half an hour reading before they even look at your artwork? Then let us help you!

During this 4 hour workshop you will:

• Learn the basic formula of writing about your artwork

• Write a description for one of your artworks

• Understand the purpose of the Artist Bio and the basics of writing one.

• Learn to discuss and interpret artworks of different genres clearly and articulately

• Talk about one of your own artworks with other people in a couple of different role playing sessions in order to gain confidence and feel more comfortable speaking in public.

Handouts will be given out on the information covered during this workshop.

There will be catered light refreshments served during break time. Please let us know of any food intolerances or allergies ahead of time.
