Make more than art. Create gratitude journals, vision boards and kindness projects while discovering simple habits that support everyday wellbeing.
Join Karen Haddon from Befriend for a welcoming series of four creative workshops exploring gratitude, thankfulness, kindness and community connection. Through simple hands-on projects and evidence-based wellbeing practices, you'll discover how creativity can improve wellbeing, strengthen relationships and help build a more connected community.
Attend the full series or simply book the workshops that interest you most. No artistic experience is required—just bring your curiosity and enjoy creating alongside others.
Workshop 1 – Cultivating Gratefulness
What: Explore the benefits of grateful living and create your own personalised gratitude journal to encourage positive daily reflection.
When: Saturday 29 August | 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Workshop 2 – The Art of Saying Thank You
What: Discover why expressing gratitude matters and design beautiful handmade thank you cards that spread kindness and strengthen connections.

Workshop 3 – Acts of Kindness
What: Learn how small acts of kindness create happier, more connected communities while sewing a heartfelt kindness heart and creating kindness cards to share with others.

Where: The Shed - 27 Birchington Street, Beckenham
Who: Suitable for women aged 18+
Facilitator: Karen Haddon from Befriend is passionate about creating welcoming communities where people feel connected and belong. Through creative, evidence-informed workshops, Karen helps participants explore simple practices that support wellbeing, kindness and meaningful relationships.
Price: Gosnells Women's Collective Members: $10 per workshop, Non-members: $20 per workshop. Discount available for bookings across all four workshops.
Catering: Tea and coffee included. Bottled water and soft drinks available for $2 each.
Parking: Free parking is available inside the main gate, along Birchington Street, or in the vacant lot beside the premises.
