Event description

Parenthood is one of life’s most significant milestones but one that so many of us often try to navigate alone.

This unique 5-week course is designed to support new parents as they navigate the profound psychological and emotional transition into parenthood and to gain a deeper understanding of and connection to their own personal parenthood journey.

Over five weeks, we explore key themes such as relationships, boundaries,
self-acceptance, guilt, fear and shifting identity, all of which are central to the experience of becoming a parent.

Each session offers a nurturing space to reflect on these aspects, using a combination of creative expression and therapeutic techniques to encourage deeper self-awareness.

Whether you're seeking to better understand the changes in your relationships, make peace with your evolving body, or foster a sense of self-compassion, this course provides tools and insights to help you on your journey.

Through guided activities and group discussion, participants will gain valuable perspective on this life-changing milestone, while connecting with others who are on a similar path.

Your ticket is for all 5 sessions and includes all art materials and expert childcare support for one child (for early sign-ups) from doulas, post-partum practitioners and baby specialists.

Your course facilitator, Amy Goldman-Kaplan, is a trained art and Montessori educator with a wealth of experience designing and facilitating art and wellbeing programs. Amy is passionate about using art as therapy and her work in this area, spanning the last 16 years, has included working with Rites of Passage programs, indigenous communities, schools, disability care, women's spaces, mental health groups, leadership training and personal development pathways.
