Event description

What's this about, and why should you be there? 🤝

Come and spend three days with us in conscious connection, mindful practice and creative self-expression. We meet at a beautiful homestead a mere 90-minute drive north of Melbourne, where campfires and starry nights take on a real significance. This sprawling property is shared with donkeys, Highland cows, and Bernese dogs (who live in the owners' house at a convenient distance). The animals are sociable and enjoy visitors. There is plenty of space to walk around with dams, animal pens, and woodland providing variety and solitude. Adjoining the property is a hill which offers a view of the neighbouring valley--the perfect place to watch the sunset.

This aim of this retreat is to discover and express our creative energies. There will be facilitated workshops on painting, poetry, and artistic self-expression. Alongside these creative sessions we will engage in mindfulness, reaching into the spiritual power that gives rise to art. There will be guided meditation and sharing circles for us to hear ourselves and each other. A massage workshop and facilitated massage circle will allow us to deepen connections with others through devotional touch. More information on the structure of this event is contained in the event schedule

We hope to come away from this retreat:

  • more rejuvenated for having spent time in nature, whether in community or solitude;
  • consciously aware of our creative voices and the ability to express them;
  • thankful for the memories made with kindred spirits through shared activities; and
  • with greater respect for the land and the stories that it holds.

Ours is but a chapter of this great story of life, and the powerful play calls for us to contribute a verse.

All activities and workshops are optional. You are welcome to spend the time as you wish, together with or away from the group. Perhaps you're looking to be more immersed in nature or with your own thoughts. Feel free to follow your intuition. If you prefer engaging with others, be encouraged to do that in a mindful and respectful manner, allowing shared activities to bring value to everyone.
