Calling all new founders and small business owners - after selling out in the first week of launching, Creative HQ startup sessions are back for the second half of 2023. If you are looking to upskill and deepen your understanding of what it takes to run a business, you've come to the right place.
Select the session that best suit your needs or sign up for the whole lot. Sessions run both in person, from our Creative HQ office in Wellington and online, 5.30pm-7.00pm.

How can you maintain your mental health and wellbeing while building a startup? Prioritising self-care is crucial for founders. This session will discuss wellbeing from the founder perspective and the importance of self-care.
🗓 08 Aug - Finance
Navigating the financial landscape of your startup is crucial to its survival and growth. This session will equip you with a comprehensive understanding of essential financial concepts for your founder journey. Create a firm foundation on your financial fundamentals to ensure your startup's financial health.
🗓 15 Aug - Marketing
What does effective marketing look like for your startup? Should social media be part of your strategy? In this session, we delve into these questions and more, laying a strong foundation for your marketing initiatives. We’ll give you an overview of branding, design thinking, trends and research.
🗓 22 Aug - Sales
Sales – that’s a big topic! In this session, we distill this complex topic to help you understand your sales approach to align with your unique circumstances. It's not just about making sales; it's about understanding your target audience, how your product fits in the market, and leveraging available resources for successful conversions.
🗓 29 Aug - Raising Capital
What are funding and investment? What capital opportunities exist for startups? What do investors look for, and how do you pitch to them effectively? Join this session to demystify the process of raising capital, and gear up for successful investor interactions.
