Kids Art Classes – Term 3

Get ready for a creative and inspiring Term 2 with our Kids Art Classes! Starting Wednesday, July 23rd, these weekly sessions are designed to spark imagination and develop artistic skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Class Schedule:+

Homeschoolers (All Ages): 1 - 2pm 

Afterschool Classes:

• Ages 5–9: 3:30–4:30 pm

• Ages 10+: 4:45–6:00 pm

Term Schedule:

Weeks 1 & 2: Watercolour Bokeh Painting
  • Learn how to create soft, glowing backgrounds using watercolour.

  • Experiment with blending colours and adding bokeh (circle light) effects.

  • Make a finished artwork with a magical or dreamy background.

Weeks 3 & 4: Texture Painting
  • Explore fun ways to make texture using things like string, sponges, salt, and foil.

  • Create colourful, bumpy, or patterned paintings using acrylic paint.

Weeks 5 & 6: Clay Creations
  • Sculpt a fun clay creature or animal using simple shapes and tools.

  • Paint and decorate your sculpture once it’s dry.

Weeks 7 & 8: Paper Crafting
  • Paper Mache Sculpting!

  • Learning various techniques for sculpting

Weeks 9 & 10: Final Project
  • Use your favourite materials from the term to make a final artwork.

  • Create a scene, creature, or object using paint, paper, or clay.

  • Celebrate with a mini art show in the last class.

We will be hosting a showcase at the end of the term to display all the children's work and creations!
