What actually sustains creative people when things get heavy?
Our final creative connection event for 2025 explores exactly that. Guided by Gretel Van-Lane (from the Dinners with a Difference series), it will be an evening shaped around honest, reflective discussion about the realities of creative practice and the resilience that underpins it. This is our take on Gretel’s acclaimed series — real, grounded conversation with fellow creatives, SCA style. |
How the evening works:
We’ll begin together as a group to introduce the theme, then move into smaller conversations of 4–5 people. You’ll have thoughtfully crafted prompts to guide discussion around resilience, perseverance, and creative habit. Halfway through, we’ll mix groups so you can connect with new people and gather different perspectives.
Whether you’re just starting out or decades into your creative journey, your experience matters here. Turning up gets easier when we do it together.
Times:
5.30pm — Arrive and grab a drink
6.00pm — Facilitated discussion over food
8.30pm — Finish

Stoic Brewing, Mezzanine level

Food & Drink:
Tapas-style pub food (savoury and sweet) included. Drinks available for purchase.

This event will be held on the Mezzanine level at Stoic Brewing, which is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
