Creative Texture Painting with Powertex - 3rd season

This is a NEW workshop using some unusual materials. (Third season)

In this workshop, you'll recreate your favourite snapshot in a lightweight 3D format suitable for hanging outside. You'll begin by 'drawing' your design onto building foam, then carving and creating textures on its surface. The foam will then be heated slightly to expand these textures.

  In the second session (June 16th), we will apply Powertex clay to the surface to raise certain areas even further. Adding small textures to this layer will help integrate it into your overall design. After that, the surface will be painted with Powertex. 

  In the third session (June 23rd), we will employ a dry-brush technique to highlight the textures we've created by building layers of lighter paint. We will also add layers of colour to enhance your composition. Although this may sound simple, it can be a slow process as you'll be mixing colours and layering them to achieve the desired result.

The result will be a finished work that is ready-to-hang on any wall inside or outside your house.
