Acrobatic Movement and Creative Tumble with Jake Silvestro

A 2 hour workshop that focuses on Jake's process as an acrobat and theatre maker. Aiming to combine acrobatic movements into performance contexts. Using his unique explosive acrobatic style Jake in combination with soft tumbling approaches. Jake will share processes that help remove self critique to allow for play and experimentation. This class will use choreographic formulas and games to help students move in creative ways. 

This class is aimed at people aged 15 years and up who have an existing movement practice, such as circus, dance, hip hop or physical theatre. This class requires students to have an understanding of the basics of floor acrobatics (comfortable attempting forward and backward rolls, cartwheels and handstands).  

Jake has 10 years of experience as an acrobat and coach. He has worked globally with some of the leading names in circus, including Circus Oz, the Flying Fruit Flies, CIRCA, Dislocate, We Are Rooke and more. He is currently touring around VIC and NSW with his solo show December which utilises the techniques he shares in this workshop.
