Creative Wellbeing & Participation
Description
Kosmovision is offering a small-group creative wellbeing program at Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre for young people who benefit from supported participation, social connection and accessible creative experiences.
Creative Wellbeing & Participation supports communication, confidence, belonging and everyday participation through creative, sensory-aware and community-based activities. Participation is guided by each person’s interests, comfort, support needs and preferred ways of engaging.
Participants may take part in different ways, including observing, listening, choosing, creating, resting and rejoining at their own pace. There is no expectation of performance or finished outcomes. Activities can be adapted to each participant’s communication profile, regulation needs, interests and support requirements.
Sessions may include:
- arrival and settling-in time
- gentle creative and sensory-based activities
- art-making, storytelling, music and collaborative processes
- shared breaks and rest time
- everyday routines, transitions and supported decision-making
- community-based participation and group interaction
The program also gently supports everyday capacities through participation, including communication, choice-making, shared routines, confidence and social connection.
