DRAW: A Fun Journey in Art and Nature
Creative Nature Workshop for Kids and Families
Come along for a 2-hour creative adventure! We’ll take a relaxing walk through the park, using nature and our imaginations to make amazing abstract drawings. You’ll get to create your very own art book filled with drawings inspired by what we see on our walk.
ALL WELCOME: This workshop is perfect for kids, whānau, and anyone who loves nature and having fun with art.
Note: Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Artist Bios:
Emma Hinton is an experienced storyteller and facilitator who transitioned from a 25-year film career to publish *Finding Grace Kimihia a Grace*, a bilingual picture book. She founded The Light Library, curating workshops and books to nurture fellow creatives while rediscovering her Ngāti Maniapoto roots. Emma lives in Waitākere, Auckland, with her daughter and serves as a Celebrant, sharing real-life stories. She is passionate about the power of storytelling to shape our future and well-being.
Vanessa Narbey is a visual artist and art educator based in Tamaki Makaurau. With an MFA from Elam School of Fine Arts, she specializes in intuitive abstraction with mixed media, blending meditation and Reiki into her paintings. A finalist in major art awards, she has exhibited her work globally and has pieces held in private and public collections worldwide. Her work explores visual perception and materiality, and she enjoys leading meditative drawing workshops with natural dyes.
