CREATIVITY 101 is a 2-hour online workshop for anyone who wants to feel more creative ⚡️

Creativity is the act of bringing things into being. It's like breathing. We're all born knowing how to do it.

But somewhere along the line, we get trained out of it. Creativity starts to feel silly and out of reach.

Imagine if the same thing happened to breathing — and we started saying things like "oh no, I'm not a breather". Or "I used to breathe, but not anymore".

That wouldn't be a good state of affairs. And it doesn't have to be the state of affairs for our creativity either.

Wherever you're at, it's possible to clear the air and start feeling more creative.

CREATIVITY 101 is a fun, hands-on, science-backed workshop exploring:

— what creativity is and how it works in your brain

— where you're already creating, and how to do more of it

— the creative blocks you're likely to encounter, and how to work with them

You'll leave with practical tools and a roadmap for experimenting with your creativity.

Hi 👋🏼 I'm Kate. I spent years as a lawyer feeling wholly uncreative — until I picked up a paintbrush aged 30. Not only did I start making art, but reconnecting with my creativity quickly became the best CPD I was doing in my law practice. Ever since, I've been fascinated by our creative brains and how we can reeducate ourselves back into creativity.

This workshop is designed for experienced professionals in industries that aren’t traditionally considered ‘creative’ — but who are absolutely doing creative work. It will also help anyone feeling stuck in their creative life.

Format: Live and online via GoogleMeet (a recording will be sent out afterwards if you can't make it on the day)

Duration: 2 hours

Cost: $45 NZD

Materials: bring a notebook and pen, and (optional) anything you'd like to doodle around with. You'll also receive a pdf workbook on the day.

CREATIVITY 101 is CPD-compatible (learning outcomes and a record of attendance can be provided on request).
