Come and celebrate the Launch of Nature Festival Artist-in-Residence Eleanor Noir's community-engaged drawing installation 'Our Beating Hearts, Their Beating Wings: An Interspecies Murmuration’ with an In-Conversation Panel Event to discuss community action to help protect birdlife.

This conversation between Vicki-Jo Russell (Nature Festival Chair, Manager Trees For Life Tree scheme & nursery, lifelong conservationist), Professor Chris Daniels (Chair Green Adelaide Landscape Board, Environmentalist, Zoologist & Science communicator), John Gitsham (Birds SA, dedicated conservationist, birder & bird photographer), and Eleanor Noir (Nature Festival Artist-in-Residence), will focus upon the role of art, science and community in creating positive action for birdlife.

What are the current threats to birdlife in the Mount Lofty Ranges, in particular the area around Wittunga Botanic Gardens?

How can art and science engage public discussion around issues such as species loss?

What actions can we can take in our daily lives as individuals and communities to support local birdlife?

How can we think of new ways to navigate our relationship with the more-than-human world?
