Creatures for Climate Fundraiser
Event description
A fundraiser for Friends of the Earth’s climate collective, ‘Creatures for Climate’ presents a mixed-genre lineup of live music, cocktails & climate activism.
Myki Jay, an award-nominated queer songwriter with a soulful voice and magnetic stage presence will open the night with their contemporary folk music influenced by jazz and blues and rooted in radical tenderness, resistance and resilience.
Country-folk songwriter Luke William Ward and eclectic rock’n’roll troubadour Skyscraper Stan will then each perform solo sets rich with storytelling about heartbreak, hope and anti-capitalism.
FoE’s Act on Climate Collective (AoC) will raffle some epic prizes, before punk band The Murderballs , notorious for their energetic live show and humour, headline with a mix of punk and funky grooves.
You can help AoC’s climate adaptation and system change campaign survive into 2026, while kicking off the summer in the beer garden of one of Fitzroy’s best bars – Creatures of Habit!
