Event description

We are delighted to announce Dr Niki Vincent to speak in Melbourne in August.

We warmly welcome you to join us via Zoom on Wednesday, 27th October from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

Dr Vincent is Victoria’s newly appointed Public Sector Gender Equality Commissioner and has a wealth of experience in gender equality and organisational leadership. This includes most recently serving as the South Australian Commissioner for Equal Opportunity since May 2016.

With a significant task ahead of her, Dr Vincent will share her personal story and the leadership qualities required to create substantial change. As she embarks on a challenging role to improve gender equality in the Victorian Public Service – her role will require leadership to close the gap between the new policy and the reality.

She holds an appointment as an Adjunct Associate Professor in UniSA’s Business School. In addition, she is an active ambassador for Time for Kids – a respite foster care organisation.

Dr Vincent will be joined by freelance Indigenous Affairs journalist Madeline Hayman-Reber for a moderated discussion on the critical national issue of  gender equity and inclusion.

Also joining us is Crescent Institute Board Member Miriam Silva.
