Travel instructions
The library is atop a small hill, requiring one block of incline to reach it. Surrounding areas are flat. Public Transport The central bus drop off point at the mall on Elizabeth St is about a 5 minute walk to the Library. There are some bus stops closer, though that depends on route. These ones are on Liverpool, near Murray St corner, and Elizabeth, near the Liverpool corner. Car There is no dedicated car parking available on a Sunday as the Farmers Market (on Bathurst St) takes over the library carpark. There is a limited number of disabled parking spaces located under the building. Please indicate on your registration, and we will organise for this to be reserved for you. There is a large public carpark (Hobart Central) which is over the road from the Library, entrance on Melville – and access to Bathurst St. Taxi and rideshare will be able to pull up at the entrance to the library carpark (closed) and drop guests around 5 metres from the entrance. Bicycle There are two bike racks available for use – one a few metres from the front entrance to the library on Murray Street and the second on Bathurst St at the side of the library.
