FROM THE ARTIST

We invite sound, movement, and theatre artists interested in interdisciplinary collaboration to join our 5-week workshop series. The Chronology Arts Collective facilitates peer-learning, exchanging methods, and evolving practices, focusing on:

  • Feedback Methodology
  • Sensitivity and Awareness
  • Access and Inclusion
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Experiencing through Time

Workshops include warmups, collaborative practice investigations, and free improvisation. Exercises such as Bisuko, Authentic Movement, and Listening and Responding are explored.


ABOUT CHRONOLOGY ARTS COLLECTIVE

The Chronology Arts Collective comprises of artists with extensive backgrounds in diverse performance projects including theatre, dance and music including in collaboration with notable festivals and artists. They bring experience from various creative fields such as composing, contemporary performance, improvisation, and dance. Their creative practices have received recognition through grants, awards and media and they have each participated in or led many creative projects including performances, recorded media, workshops and residencies. Their rich and varied expertise informs their dynamic and innovative artistic endeavours as a collective. Members of the Collective include Andrew Batt-Rawden, Carolyn Eccles, Joshua Freedman, Stephen Adams, Ryuichi Fujimura, Isobel Stolinski and Mitch Riley.
