Critical Thinking is Critical: Educate, Innovate and Advocate Against Antisemitism - Volunteer Roundtable
Event description
The Melbourne Holocaust Museum has received funding through the Multicultural Affairs portfolio of the Victorian Government for a groundbreaking 3-year project, “Critical Thinking is Critical: Educate, Innovate and Advocate against Antisemitism”.
The first year of this project has involved listening to a broad range of stakeholders across a number of cohorts including the business, community and tertiary sectors, media platforms and the education sector. These roundtables have involved open discussions about antisemitism that different people and organisations across Victoria are observing and its impact. These roundtable conversations have also involved dialogue and discussion about what social cohesion is and what kind of programs might be effective to enhance social cohesion across Victoria.
In the new year, we are facilitating two further round table meetings, one with staff at the Museum, and the other with volunteers.
To this end, we would like to invite you, as one of our valued volunteers, to a roundtable discussion. Your voice and expertise would not only enrich our discussions but also play a pivotal role in helping address antisemitism in Victoria by strategising solutions that will bring about a more socially cohesive landscape. We hope you will consider joining us on the roundtable. Please note that this roundtable session is for volunteers of MHM only.
The roundtable is on Thursday 30 January, from 2.30 – 4.30pm. Limited spaces available. Light refreshments provided.
Please join us for this important conversation. Any questions, please contact Ariella Markman, Project & Relationship Coordinator: ariella.markman@mhm.org.au
