A workshop for Medical Officers, Nurses, Paramedics and Students
In this interactive, clinically based workshop we explore the immediate assessment and treatment of the seriously ill child beginning by examining the assessment and treatment of immediate life threatening problems to the airway, breathing, circulation and central nervous system and then examine the range of life threatening diseases that occur in the young child and baby.
Topics includes basic airway management, severe asthma, croup, bronchiolitis, high flow nasal prong oxygen, sepsis, meningitis, paediatric vascular access, congenital heart disease, vomiting, diabetic ketoacidosis, foreign body ingestion, surgical emergencies, seizures, trauma, burns, pain management and non-accidental injury.
Accredited CPD activity : ACRRM, RACGP, Two day Rural Procedural Grant (EM)
