Crochet for beginners: Amigurumi buzzing bees
Event description
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting small, stuffed creatures - and a great way
for beginners to learn new skills while making something cute and memorable. In this
hands-on session, participants will crochet their very own bee plushie while learning
essential techniques used in 3D crochet.
Led by Joy, a passionate local fibre artist, the session will cover:
• How to read a beginner-friendly amigurumi pattern
• Step-by-step demonstration of the bee project
• Techniques such as increasing, decreasing, and working in the round
• Individual guidance in a small group setting
• Inspiring ways to keep learning and creating after the workshop
All materials are included, and no experience is required.
This session is for people 12 to 25 years of age.
