Cromwell Christmas Party

Cromwell, your Christmas party is sorted.

Whether you’re celebrating with the whole workplace, a small team, a few friends or simply joining one of our shared tables, you’re invited to finish the year at one big Cromwell Christmas party.

The evening begins with pre-dinner drinks in the Lakeside XL Room or outside on the terrace. Catch up with your group, meet some new people and enjoy the lakeside setting before taking your seats for a three-course plated Christmas dinner by Moreish Kitchen.

After dinner, Cromwell’s own Ord Road takes the stage with its crowd-pleasing mix of dub, reggae and rock covers. The bar stays open, the tables are left behind and the dance floor takes over until 11pm.

We’ve organised the venue, dinner, bar and band. All you need to do is choose your seats, round up your favourite people and arrive ready to celebrate.

Drinks are not included in the ticket price and are available to purchase from the bar. Pre-paid tabs available.

• Freshly baked sourdough with smoked black garlic butter & baked brie with Bannockburn thyme honey and cranberry (GF)

Mains- plated alternate drop

• NZ Beef with butternut puree, potato rosti, fresh asparagus and Central Otago Pinot Noir jus (GF) 

• Chicken wrapped in prosciutto with sweetcorn puree, crispy polenta, blanched broccolini and thyme reduction (GF)

Dessert- plated alternate drop

• Chocolate torte with raspberry gel, fresh berries and vanilla bean mascarpone (GF)

• Lemon cheesecake with poached strawberries, meringue crumb and raspberry

Running order

• 5pm: Doors and bar open for pre-dinner drinks in the Lakeside XL Room and on the terrace

• 6.15pm: Guests take their seats

• 6.45: Dinner service begins

• 8.30pm: Ord Road takes the stage

• 10.30pm: Final drinks

• 11pm: Event finishes

Individual bookings

You don’t need to belong to a large workplace to join the party.

Individual tickets are available for smaller teams, sole traders, people who work from home, couples and groups of friends. You’ll be seated at a shared table alongside other people joining Cromwell’s Christmas celebration.

You can choose your seats from the seating map when booking. If you’re purchasing several tickets in one transaction, simply select seats together.

If friends or colleagues are booking separately, they can find your seats on the map and choose available places beside you. If there isn’t enough space together, please contact us and we’ll do our best to reorganise the seating plan.

To avoid leaving isolated empty seats between bookings, we reserve the right to adjust your specific seat allocation after booking. Any change will remain within the same table, and everyone included in your booking will stay together. This helps us make the best use of the venue so more people can enjoy the event.

Full tables of 10

Want a table exclusively for your group? You can book a complete table for up to 10 guests.

A full table costs $1190, plus booking fees. You’re welcome to bring fewer than 10 people, but the full-table price will still apply and no other guests will be seated at your table.

If you book more than one table, we’ll place your tables together wherever possible. If neighbouring tables have already been allocated, we may reorganise the seating plan to bring your group closer together.

We reserve the right to change table locations where necessary to keep larger groups together and make the best use of the venue. Your full table will remain exclusive to your booking.

Tickets, payment and receipts

The full ticket price is payable when booking.

Drinks and prepaid bar tabs

The bar will open at 5pm, allowing you to begin the evening with pre-dinner drinks in the Lakeside XL Room or outside on the terrace. Drinks can be purchased throughout the event.

Businesses and group organisers can request a prepaid bar tab during checkout. Simply enter the amount you would like, and we’ll invoice you for the tab before the event.

All bar tabs must be capped and prepaid, giving the organiser complete control over the group’s spending. Any unused balance will be refunded after the event.

Further drinks-package options will also be shared with ticket holders in the lead-up to the night.

Dietary requirements

Moreish Kitchen can cater for food allergies and dietary requirements.

Please provide these details during the booking process. Requirements can also be added or updated after booking by contacting us, but they must be received no later than two weeks before the event.

Changes and cancellations

If your numbers change, please contact us as early as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

As this is a ticketed event with catering and seating arranged in advance, tickets are not automatically refundable. A cancellation may be refunded if we’re able to resell the ticket to someone on the event waitlist.

Smart casual—Christmas flair encouraged.

Parking, transport and accessibility

Parking is available at Te Puna Mahara.

If you’re planning to enjoy the bar, we strongly encourage arranging a sober driver, taxi or shuttle in advance.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us before the event if you or someone in your group has accessibility requirements so we can reserve a seat on the outer edge of the seating plan.

Tickets are limited

Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

If the event sells out, an additional night may be made available. Join the waitlist to be the first to hear about another date and receive early access to tickets.
