Event description

The final pitching event represents the thrilling culmination of the Australia–Cambodia Cross Border Challenge (CBC), a groundbreaking initiative that unleashes the untapped potential of Cambodian and international students studying in Australia, empowering them to bridge their academic excellence with real-world solutions for their homeland.

What started as individual ambitions has evolved into something remarkable – diverse teams who've discovered that the best innovations emerge when different perspectives collide. Through intensive weeks of design thinking workshops, expert mentoring sessions, and deep-dive research, these passionate changemakers have crafted solutions that don't just sound good on paper – they're built for the realities of Cambodia.

Today, our Top 5 teams step into the spotlight to present their Cambodia-focused innovations to an expert panel of judges. But this isn't just about competition – it's about celebrating the extraordinary power of creativity, collaboration, and the unwavering belief that students can drive meaningful change.

This event embodies more than pitch presentations; it's a testament to the strengthening bonds between Cambodia, Australia, and the entire region, proving that when we invest in young innovators, we invest in a brighter, more connected future.

The Cross Borders Challenge is supported by Australia Awards Cambodia in partnership with Mekong Inclusive Ventures,
