Cross, Flag, and Nation: How do we respond to Christian Nationalism?
Description
Christian nationalism is usually talked about as an American story, shaped by culture wars, evangelical politics and the US constitution. But it takes different forms across the UK and Europe, and it’s here in Australia too.
Join visiting academic Dr Nick Spencer (Theos Thinktank, London) for a public lecture and discussion on what Christian Nationalism looks like in the UK, what is the difference between nationalism and patriotism, how Christians might relate to the nation, and what our answer says about our theology of nation.
This event is in-person and online.
