Auckland’s Cross Street Music Festival is back, bringing a laneway street party with a fully Kiwi lineup.
Cross St Music Festival 2026
About
Cross Street Music Festival is an independent urban music and arts festival that celebrates the creativity, culture, and diversity of Auckland's Karangahape Road precinct.
Since launching in 2019, the festival has transformed Cross Street and its surrounding laneways into a vibrant destination for live music, performance, visual arts, food, and community experiences.
Showcasing a curated mix of emerging and established local artists across multiple stages and unexpected spaces, the festival champions Auckland's independent creative scene while supporting local businesses and activating the city centre. Audiences are encouraged to explore the neighbourhood, discover new music, and engage with interactive art, workshops, and cultural experiences throughout the day and into the evening.
This year we extend the festival across Karangahape in new and wonderful ways!
More than a music festival, Cross Street Music Festival is a celebration of place, bringing people together through creativity and reinforcing Karangahape Road's reputation as one of Aotearoa's most dynamic cultural precincts.
Supported by Auckland Live and Auckland Council Events.
Testimonials
As someone who loves Karanga-a-Hape, I felt genuinely at home at the Cross Street Music Festival. The ethereal energy of whanaungatanga indeed flowed through the festival.
