About this event:
The loss of the BEACH study created a hole in Australia’s general practice data landscape. A team at the University of Sydney has developed a new method to collect primary care clinical activity data to address this gap – The OCEAN study.
This presentation will cover:
- Levels of evidence in research
- The BEACH study and what its loss has meant
- The development of the Occasions of Care Explained and ANalysed (OCEAN) tool
- The planned deployment of the OCEAN tool
About the speaker:
Dr Christopher Harrison is a primary care researcher with more than 20 years’ experience in health services research at the University of Sydney. Currently, Dr Harrison is a senior lecturer at the Sydney School of Public Health leading the Population Health team teaching into the University of Sydney medical program. He is a co-lead of the OCEAN project.
