Event description

CTC in Learning: Less is more: the ART and science in reproductive medicine

About this event:

From its origins in early case reports to the cutting-edge techniques of today, assisted reproductive technology (ART) has transformed the lives of millions of families worldwide over the past four decades. While ART has faced criticism for its sometimes-wobbly evidence base, we are now witnessing a surge of large randomized trials and meta-analyses that are reshaping the field. In this talk, we will explore a few landmark trials and meta-analyses in ART, highlighting the emerging science behind the “less is more” philosophy in reproductive medicine.

This presentation will cover:
  1. The history of ART: case reports
  2. The developments: wobbly evidence base
  3. The surge of large randomized trials in ART
  4. Challenges and opportunities
