WHAT WE DO

CTO cares about people who need transport to carry out daily activities.

We advocate for people who are challenged by access to transport, and we support the community transport sector to provide transport to people who find public transport inaccessible.

Community transport is a social justice initiative that is community responsive. The sector provides a broad range of accessible and affordable travel options that correlate directly to community and need.

The CTO believes that transport provides agency to independence. It sustains a quality of life. Travel with community transport allows independence, maintains confidence, it combats social isolation that results from disability, disadvantage, and frailty.

We are proud to support a sector that is integral to an age friendly communities’ framework.

CTO is the peak body for community transport sector in NSW & ACT.
