Fidel Castro Colloquium: Reportback from Cuba August 2026
Description
August 2026 marked 100 years since the birth of Fidel Castro Ruz. More than 1500 solidarity activists, academics, artists, and medical workers travelled to Cuba to commemorate the date and to engage in solidarity work in Cuba. Join us to hear about the reality of Cuba under the blockade from four Australian activists who made the journey in August.
The panel will report on their experiences before a Q and A session.
We will also share details on the next edition of the Southern Cross Brigade, a solidarity brigade to Cuba in December-January made up of activists from Australia and New Zealand.
