Benefit for the People of Cuba: Music, Art & Impact for Cuba
March 30th at The Den in Portland
What:Join us March 30th at The Den in Portland for a night of music, art, and real impact. Presented by Serious::Sinner & Bootycorp, in partnership with Space Lounge, this isn't just a party - it's a lifeline for Cuba. Your presence directly supports crucial aid during unimaginable hardships.
WHY THIS EVENT MATTERS
Cuba is in crisis. Basic supplies are nearly impossible to find due to recent crackdowns. Rolling blackouts are still leaving precious food to rot in refrigerators due to a failing infrastructure. We've witnessed the desperation firsthand:
Havana: A young father's only option for his two-year-old's milk? Sugarcane juice. Under $30; we filled his pantry, and the child's joy was unforgettable.
Viñales: Ebenezer, a priest running a youth art program, explained that $1,500 can sustain his kids for a year – food, clothing, and art supplies.
These are real stories from real people – our friends in Cuba – who urgently need our help. Through no fault of their own, they are facing a selfish regime leaving the people hungry. We are committed to continuing our legacy of impactful and community-driven support.
OUR IMPACT & FUNDING
Every dollar raised (after minimal expenses) goes directly to the Cuban people supporting:
Essentials: Purchasing desperately needed basic goods and supplies (Pencils, surgical needles, bandaids.
Local Businesses: Boosting Cuban-owned businesses to strengthen their economy.
Community Partners: Direct cash contributions to trusted leaders on the ground.
Plus, for those wanting to make local impact, you can direct a portion of your ticket to support Place Initiative’s vital work in Portland, focusing on climate action and humanitarian projects here at home.

OUR LEGACY & OUR TEAM
We believe in community. From pandemic food pantries to inclusive festivals like SOAK & SHIFT, we've always prioritized impact over profit. This event is no different. Bootycorp and Serious::Sinner Presents are donating our time and resources to maximize your contribution. 100% of proceeds (after minimal costs) directly support the people of Cuba and local Portland initiatives.
WHY NOW?
Why now? Because your contribution has incredible power. Cuba is at a breaking point. Just a small amount can deliver hope, essential supplies, and dignity to our friends who desperately need it. This isn't just charity; it's about real change, empowering communities and strengthening global bonds.
Join us March 30th for a night of culture, creativity, and compassion. Let's ignite hope for Cuba, together. Through all the suffering, and true hunger…they continue to smile, make music, dance, and sing (at home, they may be unable to obtain enough food month to month) We are conscientious and aware that there exists suffering and need everywhere, this is something we have the power, connections, inspiration, and ability to make happen now! Cubans on the ground in La Habana and Viñales (a smaller provincial town) will experience the impact of our efforts by mid-April. Let’s dance, connect, and have a fun time on a Sunday while bringing on-the-ground support and hope to Cuba!
