Description

Coastal Cleanup Day at Upper Newport Bay

Join over 1,000 volunteers for one of Orange County's largest community volunteer events as we work together to remove trash and debris from Upper Newport Bay.

Every year, trash carried through our watershed threatens wildlife, pollutes our waterways, and impacts the health of this unique estuary.  Our goal is to remove over 10,000 pounds of trash from the Bay while protecting wildlife and improving one of Southern California's most important estuaries.

Whether you're volunteering with family, friends, coworkers, a scout troop, or on your own, your efforts make a real difference for the Bay. Together, we can keep Upper Newport Bay cleaner, healthier, and more resilient for wildlife and future generations.

As a thank you for supporting Coastal Cleanup Day, registered volunteers will receive a commemorative event T-shirt while supplies last.

Thank you to our event partners for helping make Coastal Cleanup Day possible:

  • Orange County Parks

  • California Department of Fish and Wildlife

  • City of Newport Beach

  • Orange County Coastkeeper

  • Newport Aquatic Center

  • Inside the Outdoors

We are also grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, and community members whose support makes this event possible each year. As a thank you, Newport Bay Conservancy will be gifting T-shirts to participants.

Register today and be part of the largest cleanup event of the year!
