Event description

Celebrate 70’s and 80’s music with local cover bands that will seriously rock you.

Who remembers Les Gock from Hush? The shag hairstyle, the silver platform boots and the satin jumpsuit was as legendary as his wizardry on lead guitar. With covers “Glad All Over” and “Boney Maronie” dominating the Countdown charts in the mid-70’s, Hush was Australia’s definitive answer to glam rock.

Dust off your platforms, squeeze into those flares and get ready to shake your groove thing.

The Sunbakers is a raw, thumping good time rock’n’roll band. With Les Gock on guitar, they bring an infectious energy to every set. Featuring some of the finest local musicians, including Luke Freeman (drums), Jean Paul ‘JP’ Maulguet (bass), Bill Moss (rhythm guitar), Gaye Adlington (keyboards) and Sam Webster (lead vocal). They play the music they love, the music YOU love, the music of a generation.

Indelible Inc will rock the dance floor with their heartfelt mix of 70’s and 80’s covers that include ballads, melodic soft rock, and Aussie pub rock. They’ll be covering their favourite 80’s bands from the rock rhythms of The Pretenders and Hunters & Collectors to the sweet riffs and harmonies of Crowded House and Fleetwood Mac. Featuring Mhairi Rostron (Vocals), Jules Versitano (Acoustic Rhythm Guitar, Harmonica), Paul Sayers (Drums ) Karen Watson (Keyboard, Vocals), Andy Rostron (Bass Guitar) and Bill Moss (Lead Guitar.)

Under the Radar play an eclectic mix of classic rock and blues, slaying the hits of Midnight Oil, Talking Heads and The Clash. With Steve Nott and Ken Barnes on guirar, vocals from Lynn Thorogood, Luke Freeman on drums and Jean-Paul Maulguet on bass.

Local DJ Charles Maxwell best known for his 2ST radio show Breakfast with Max will MC the afternoon. Between treating us to music nostalgia and fashion flashbacks, Max promises to be on the dancefloor.
