Overview

Cultivating Ziraat is a three-part training program offered by Ziraat North America & Oceania:

• Series I — Introductory Training (held in 2024)

• Series II — Advanced Training (September – October 2026)

• Series III — New Farmer Training (planned for early 2027)

Series II is intended for those who have taken the Introductory Training, and for others who feel they have a sound orientation in Ziraat. Components of the Ziraat Lodge and their symbolic meanings will be discussed in more depth, along with our work in the world today. This training will be offered via Zoom, with presenters from the Ziraat Council of NAO and hosted by Aziza Barker.

• Friday, September 4 — The Symbolic Cycle of Work on the Farm.
  Presenter: Wali Via.

• Friday, September 18 — Symbology of the Ziraat Dialogue.
  Presenter: Ata'allah Meacham.

• Friday, October 2 — Address of Great Farmer and Journey of the Soul.
  Presenters: Zebunissa Overeynder, Nehmat Kyan, and Aziza Barker.

• Friday, October 16 — Healing Humanity's Relationship with the Earth.
  Presenter: Sharifa Oppenheimer.

• Friday, October 30 — Group Sharing, Ziraat Lodge & Initiations.
  Presenters: Jamia Haqq Paul, Hadi Yves Saint-Pierre, and Kabira Sarah Miller.

Details

Sessions are on alternate Fridays from 3:00 – 4:30 pm ET (New York) / 9:00 – 10:30 pm CEST (Paris). To see the start time in your own location, check your local time here. Please note that in Australia and New Zealand, sessions fall on Saturday morning, and that clocks change in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand partway through the series — so your local time may differ between the September and October sessions.

This training is intended for those who have completed the Introductory Training, and for others with a sound orientation in Ziraat.
