Cultural Competency Training – CHSP Sector

Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council (BRMC) invites CHSP staff and volunteers to join this free Cultural Competency Training, designed to support more inclusive and responsive services for older people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
The session is led by an experienced facilitator and grounded in the lived experiences of people from migrant and refugee backgrounds — including a guest speaker who shares their own story and reflections.

Build practical skills to engage more effectively across cultures
Strengthen your cross-cultural communication
Reflect on how your own cultural background shapes the way you work
Explore strategies to create more inclusive services
Listen to lived experience and reflect on what inclusive practice looks like in your context
Session Details
Runs from 9:30am to 1:30pm, including a short break and a lunch break
Delivered online — please register individually and join from your own device
