Join us for special Bush Playgroup Session with Auntie Christine author of children's story Bush Tucker Girl. Children will connect with the land and culture through hands on curated cultural learning experiences. We will learn about the Gubbi Gubbi people and culture through stories, songs, Gubbi Gubbi language, artefacts & bush tucker. The session is on Thursday 31 October from 9:30 to 11:00 am. The session is suitable for 2 to 6 year olds and their parents/carers, younger siblings are welcome to attend.
This session is a Children's week event, celebrating children and this year it is bringing awareness to the right that all children have a right to a clean and safe environment.
This session is free as it has been generously supported by Cooroy RSL donation and Children's Rights Queensland Children's Week grant. However, if you feel the capacity you are welcome to make a donation towards the children's bush tucker garden, which will be planted in the play area for children to play around, connect with and enjoy into the future.

What is The Bush Circle? It's a gathering place for small and big people, where a safe space is provided for children and adults to connect with the natural world through child led wild nature play and activities. The Bush Circle is located off the beaten track, on picturesque Ironstone Creek Sanctuary, Gubbi Gubbi Country. The sanctuary is located between Noosa/Cooroy and Gympie, in the Mary Valley.
