Cultural Conversations for CHSP Providers: Understanding Aged Care Through a Multicultural Lens
Description
Join us for the next session in our Cultural Conversations for CHSP Providers series, designed to strengthen culturally responsive practice when supporting older people from multicultural communities.
Aged care is not viewed or understood in the same way across all cultures. Cultural beliefs, family expectations, language barriers and past experiences can significantly influence how older people understand, access and engage with aged care services.
This interactive Cultural Conversation will explore common misconceptions about aged care within multicultural communities and encourage participants to reflect on how culturally responsive approaches can improve access, trust and service delivery.
This one-hour online Lunch & Learn is interactive, reflective, and suitable for anyone working within the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
Who should attend?
CHSP coordinators, support workers, assessors, case managers, team leaders, community engagement staff, volunteers, and anyone supporting older people from multicultural communities.
