Have you ever considered what makes a workplace truly inclusive and welcoming for people from all backgrounds?
In Australia, nearly one-third of the population was born overseas. Our Cultural Diversity Workshop is designed to deepen your understanding of cultural awareness, safety and inclusion. Together, we'll explore how diversity enriches the workplace and discuss practical strategies that you can implement to enhance cultural safety in your workplace.
Who is this workshop for?
This free, exclusive workshop is only for:
- Employees of RTOs;
- Employers of apprentices and trainees studying with an RTO; or
- Employers who provide work experience or placement to VET students enrolled with an RTO.
All RTOs must hold a Funded Activities Agreement. All participants must be based in South Australia.
What to expect
Engaging content: Delivered with powerpoint slides and short videos, complemented by activities, to enhance your professional development.
Embrace diversity: Discover meaningful ways to embrace cultural diversity and reflect on unconscious bias.
Practical solutions: Develop a plan to actively improve processes, practices and policies in your workplace.
Learning outcomes
- Understand values, beliefs and practices that may be important or unique to culturally diverse people.
- Increase your awareness of the barriers experienced by culturally diverse people.
- Recognise current processes and practices that facilitate or inhibit engagement from culturally diverse people in the workplace.
- Identify reasonable adjustments and supports that can better assist individuals from culturally diverse communities to engage within the learning environment.
- Develop a clear action plan to improve processes and practices.
